Southern Tier Pumking is a 9 percent alcohol by volume imperial ale. The beer pours an orange golden color with a moderate head and has a muted spice aroma. The flavor has hints of pumpkin pie, with nutmeg and a bit of vanilla. There is some roasty quality to the brew and perhaps a touch of oak.
