Moscato d'Asti can be no more than 5.5 percent alcohol by volume by law. This leaves ample sugar behind that gives the slightly sparkling wines their signature sweetness.
La Serra 2009 Moscato d'Asti DOCG is from Cassine in Alessandria province. The wine has a crispness with hints of pear, peaches and pineapple. Lovely wine for after a great meal.
